It investigates the official website of the Ministry of Health as a source of reliable information in the fight against fake news regarding the (Covid-19) pandemic. It proposes an analysis regarding the reliability of the site, based on quality criteria proposed by the authors Tomaél and Alcará (2016). As a general objective, the research identifies which quality criteria the Ministry of Health website has on its portal. As specific objectives, it seeks to analyze the quality criteria found on the Ministry of Health website and evaluates it as a source of information, evidencing its approach in combating the spread of fake news. Applied research is of a basic nature, exploratory with a qualitative approach, documental and bibliographical method. As a result, it proves that the Ministry of Health website has all 22 quality criteria proposed by the authors Tomaél and Alcará.
