Based on the observation that literature teaching in schools is still marked by traditional practices that hinder aesthetic appreciation and the development of students' critical thinking, the study seeks to foster literary literacy through thematic intertextuality and comparative literature. The theoretical framework draws on authors such as Rildo Cosson, Julia Kristeva, Mikhail Bakhtin, and Ingedore Koch, who defend reading as a social practice and literary texts as spaces of multiple voices. The proposed Didactic Sequence aimed to break away from technicist models of literature teaching and, through the comparison between the idealistic protagonists Policarpo Quaresma and Don Quixote, promote critical and meaningful reading. This approach brings students closer to classical literature and encourages reflection on timeless themes such as utopia, national identity, and social critique.
