With this necessity, the BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology started to stand out in the national and world market. The adoption of BIM in Brazil was planned to occur gradually in both the public and private sectors. However, even with mandatory BIM in the public sphere according to Decree Nº: 10.306, there is a clear contrast in the degree of maturity regarding the implementation of the technology in the country, which is concentrated in the South and Southeast regions. The central objective of the research is to map the challenges and list strategies through the identification of critical success factors (CSF) for the implementation of BIM in micro-enterprises, which today correspond to most of the AEC industry.
