The conducted study aimed to present the number of cases of Dengue reported in the city of Portel - Pará in 2007 to 2014 data provided by these Municipal Secretary of Health Portel. a quantitative survey, a literature on the subject was conducted. The results that were obtained were 529 cases reported over a period of 08 years and we can see this year occurred alternations from one year to another, and in 2010 and 2013 were the years in which the major dengue epidemic rates in larger scale in the municipality of Portel - Shovel. The years had low numbers of cases is probably due to the control measure applied after major incidents. Control measures are needed to combat the population is extremely important to combat this disease, in partnership with the secretaries of the county and the town hall.
