Abstract: In the present study, concrete was produced using 3 coarse synthetic aggregates (AGS 70, AGS 80, AGS 90), obtained from bauxite residue (BR), being evaluated for: resistance to axial compression, resistance to traction by diametral compression, modulus of elasticity and capillary water absorption. The results showed, firstly, that the synthetic RB aggregates met the normative requirements for use in concrete and presented inoculum in the evaluation of the reactive potential (RAA). The compressive strength of the concretes (28 days) reached values between 36-24 MPa; the other characteristics analyzed (traction, modulus of elasticity) showed little variability; on the other hand, capillary absorption was compatible with the increasing linear trend of synthetic aggregate absorptions.
