The overall objective was to reflect on how urban content in the curriculum can support cross-curricular socioenvironmental discussions, as foreseen in official basic education documents. Specifically, the study sought to understand the relationship between Urban Geography, the environment, and Environmental Education, to identify the main urban contents with socio-environmental potential, and to analyze how this articulation is guided by the National Curriculum Parameters (PCNs) and the National Common Curriculum Base (BNCC). This research is characterized as qualitative and was developed through bibliographic research and document analysis, focusing on curricular documents and reference authors in Urban Geography and Critical Environmental Education.
