Eight interviews and a community meeting were carried out, in addition to documentary research. The communities began the fight for the Quilombola Territory in 2006, and requested the land authority of the state of Pará in 2007, aiming to regularize their lands with the recognition of collective ownership of the land and issuance of the quilombola domain recognition title. Families face the inefficiency of the State in guaranteeing the constitutional rights of quilombola communities, and the invasion of businessmen, politicians, farmers, and others, weakening the struggle and deteriorating traditional ways of life.
