The research presents a socioterminological approach, according to Faulstich (1995, 1998, 2006), to investigate the terms used by the marujos and marujas (participants of the festivity). The theoretical contributions of Reis (2015) and Silva and Carvalho (2021) were used to discuss the characteristics of this festivity. The theme was chosen due to the lack of academic works that describe the Marujada from this terminological perspective. The methodology employed was field research using semi-structured interviews with participants of this religious and cultural manifestation, aiming to obtain information about the theme. In the discussion of the results, the singularities and similarities of the terms used in the Marujada of Tracuateua compared to other marujadas in the Bragança region were analyzed.
