In this context, this study aimed to carry out the curation of the ichthyological collection of the Integrated Zoology Laboratory at the Federal University of Pará – Bragança Campus, with the purpose of improving its organization, taxonomic identification, documentation, and accessibility for educational and scientific purposes. The activities included collection assessment, sorting and reorganization of lots, taxonomic identification of specimens based on specialized literature, nomenclatural revision, cataloging in a digital spreadsheet, label standardization, and physical reorganization of the collection. As a result, the collection increased from 135 to 175 cataloged lots, representing a 29.6% increase resulting from the reorganization of previously existing samples. Taxonomic inconsistencies were corrected, previously unavailable curatorial information was recovered, and 132 lots were identified to the lowest possible taxonomic level. The collection exhibited high fish diversity, with a predominance of the family Cichlidae, including specimens from freshwater, estuarine, and marine environments of the Eastern Amazon. Of the total cataloged lots, 137 were classified as teaching material and 38 as scientific material, most of which consisted of specimens originating from research conducted at the Bragança Campus and incorporated into the collection as voucher specimens. It is concluded that the curation significantly improved the quality of the ichthyological collection of the Integrated Zoology Laboratory, enhancing its reliability, organization, and potential for use in teaching, research, and extension activities, while strengthening its role as an institutional repository of the biodiversity of the Coastal Amazon.Acesso AbertoAmazôniaColeção biológicaIctiofaunaTaxonomiaZoologiaAmazonBiological collectionIchthyofaunaTaxonomyZoologyCNPQ::CIENCIAS BIOLOGICAS::ZOOLOGIACuradoria da coleção ictiológica do Laboratório Integrado de Zoologia do Instituto de Estudos Costeiros da UFPA - Campus BragançaTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - MonografiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazil
