Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/4636The work tells the case of a carrying patient of Hereditary Hemochromatosis (HH) that it is if benefiting of the precocious diagnosis and the accomplishment of weekly bleedings associated to the Chelation therapy, what very reduced the impregnation of iron in fabrics and agencies diminishing the amount of inherent complications the proper illness. The Hereditary Hemochromatosis is a autossomal recessive disease most of the time being caused for a mutation in gene associated to Hereditary Hemochromatosis (HFE) that cause a riot in the storage of the iron resulting in the deposit of extreme amounts of this element in the parenchymal cells. Clinically, one characterizes for signals and unspecified symptoms that do not point with respect to no specific agency or system and that they depend on the degree of iron overload as fatigue, weakness, diffuse arthropathy, impotence, abdominal pain, weight loss and skin pigmentation. The diagnosis if bases on clinical, laboratory studies, histologic criteria and until genetic beyond test of screening in known familiar carrying patients of HH. As therapeutical behavior, the attitude most objective is the depletion of the corporal supplies of iron through periodic bleedings in the Blood Center associated the alimentary measures as to prevent foods with high text of iron or that its absorption and medical measures increased as the deferoxamine mesylate use that is a chelation agent of this metal.
