Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/10138This article analyzes the contributions of the teaching internship in the initial training of dance teachers, based on pedagogical experiences developed in Early Childhood Education with children aged two to three years. This study is guided by the following question: In what ways do dance-based pedagogical practices experienced during the teaching practicum contribute to the development of attention, engagement, and expressiveness in children aged 2 to 3 years in early childhood education? The study adopts a qualitative approach, with a descriptive and reflective character, carried out within the scope of Teaching Internship I of the Dance Degree course at the Federal University of Pará, the internship took place from January 30 to March 27, 2025, from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Venuzina Marinho de Souza Municipal School. Methodological procedures involved direct observation of classes, logbook records, and bibliographic research. The results show that dance pedagogical practices, when planned in a playful way and sensitive to the specificities of childhood, contribute to children’s attention, involvement, and expressiveness, in addition to favoring the construction of teaching identity.
