Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8363This article aimed to analyze the process of pedagogical use of smartphones in teaching Portuguese language to students in the 5th year of public elementary school in the city of Breves-PA. This is a bibliographical and field research, with a predominantly qualitative approach, and for its development and results, questionnaires prepared with closed questions were applied, sent and received through the WhatsApp messaging application, with one (1) teacher teaching the Portuguese language subject in the 5th year of elementary school, who is a participant in the NTICs extension project in the educational process. The collected data was analyzed and systematized in light of content analysis. The main authors who support this research stand out, which are: Lévy (1999), Libâneo (2012) Moran (1997), Montesdioca (2015), Ribeiro (2014), Santos (2021), Silva (2017), Soares (2016), Valente (2018). The results obtained in this research demonstrate how the conscious use of NTICS can help teachers and students in the educational process. And although continued training in media and technologies is an issue that needs to be taken into consideration, as it is through this training that teachers will have access to the techniques necessary for the pedagogical use of technology.
