Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/10041The impact of wildfires and forest fires in the Amazon region on the climate is deep and worrying, as they affect a large part of the vegetated land surface. This phenomenon impacts both local and global climate balance. With the removal of vegetation, there is a higher incidence of solar radiation, which leads to increased temperatures and a higher risk of new fires. Based on this, the aim was to analyze the spatial distribution of heat hotspots that occurred in the State of Pará in 2024. Geoprocessing techniques were used, which are highly relevant tools for spatial analysis and monitoring, utilizing information extracted from orbital data processing, specifically from the AQUA_M-T satellite, provided by INPE, using GIS. In this way, a set of thematic maps, graphs, and tables was generated to identify spatial and temporal patterns and their relationship with land use, protected areas, deforestation, and climatic factors. The results showed the areas with the highest concentrations of hotspots, like in the intermediate geographic regions of Santarém and Redenção, mainly because they are areas of agricultural expansion. The lowest concentrations were recorded in the coastal strip and in fully protected areas. The values were low from January to June, which is the rainy season.
