Therefore, control and prevention strategies must incorporate educational approaches, improved sanitary practices in the açaí production chain and effective monitoring to reduce the risks associated with the transmission of Chagas Disease in this specific context. To this end, the general objective of the study was: to analyze the epidemiology of Chagas Disease in Cametá, identifying patterns, risk factors and effectiveness of control strategies implemented in the municipality. The methodology involved bibliographic and documentary research, with a quantitative-qualitative approach anchored in Minayo (1993), used to respond to the assumptions relevant to the study. The results of the study show variations in notifications over the years, highlighting fluctuations in gender and age categories. The analysis highlights the importance of investigating factors related to the domestic environment, considering that the majority of cases had the home as the likely location of infection. Furthermore, the study highlights the role of the Municipal Health Department, through Health Surveillance, in raising awareness and providing information about Chagas disease. The implementation of training on good açaí handling practices and recognition through the quality seal for handlers who meet established standards are relevant strategies for controlling oral transmission. However, the need to consider the gap in information regarding the post-diagnosis development of patients is highlighted, aiming for a more comprehensive understanding of the impact of the disease on health and clinical management strategies.Acesso AbertoDoença de ChagasEpidemiologiaControleSaúde PúblicaChagas diseaseEpidemiologyControlPublic healthCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::SAUDE COLETIVA::EPIDEMIOLOGIAEpidemiologia da Doença de Chagas no município de Cametá, ParáTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - ArtigoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazil
