Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/5840The present study is about a research about the difficulties presented in the subject of mathematics by students of the Elementary School I - Beginning Years in a partner school of Altamira-PA, difficulties identified by the teachers who teach this subject in the year 2022. Thus, the general objective was To understand in what way teachers who teach in the initial years of elementary education - 1, perceive the difficulties of learning mathematics in a school conveniada in the municipality of Altamira- Pa. As for the methodological aspects of the research, a qualitative approach was chosen, a bibliographical research was carried out, through reading, analysis and interpretation, and the use of exploratory research was also considered, in view of the need to better understand the phenomenon. The works of some authors such as Vygotsky (1991), Paulo Freire (1987), Smith and Strick (2012), Canavarro (2003), Masola and Allevato (2019) among others, were used as a theoretical reference to build the theoretical chapter of this work. The study pointed out that the perceptions of teachers who teach mathematics in the early years of elementary education in a partner school of Altamira-PA, are attentive to the educational needs of students, know how to identify and intervene various actions and teaching methods to assist better performance of students in everyday educational practice.
