It provides a brief timeline of international conventions, and a slightly expanded national one. The presence of Indigenous women in international and national conventions is both pertinent and challenging, as they are on the front lines of territorial and gender struggles, and their presence in these spaces ensures effective and representative public policies. To this end, the methodology used was bibliographic and documentary analysis. The result of this work is that it is not yet possible to define whether they are subjects or objects in these conventions, as this is bibliographic research without fieldwork. Thus, the presence and protagonism of Indigenous women in international and national conventions is a historic milestone for Indigenous peoples, as this was not possible for a long time, resulting in the valorization of their cultures and knowledge.
