Five teachers were interviewed. Three of these teachers also worked as directors, three students, two pioneer residents, a former service assistant, a current service assistant (lunch box) and a current teacher. Four representative phases of the history of the Olavo Bilac school were identified, characterized by changes in structural aspects, public management by the state or municipal government, human resources and schooling.
