Maria da Silva Correia School, located in the Segredinho Community, in the municipality of Capanema, Pará. The study aims to analyze the pedagogical practices and traditional knowledge reflected in the daily life of the school. The methodological procedures were based on a qualitative research approach, using techniques and instruments such as interviews with semi structured questions administered to teachers and older local residents, as well as observations in the school environment. The main results indicate that the school values traditional knowledge with a methodology focused on local storytelling and the development of projects that incorporate local culture and the environment. The school also recognizes and recognizes traditional knowledge as a powerful tool for the teaching and learning process.
