Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9605This study presents a diagnostic of walkability and accessibility on Travessa Vileta, in Belém-PA, specifically the stretch between Canal do Galo and Almirante Barroso Avenue, using the Sidewalk Quality Index (SQI) methodology proposed by Ferreira and Sanches (2001). The research was structured through field surveys divided into eight distinct segments, where indicators of clear width, paving, obstacles, slope, and accessibility were analyzed and compared with weighted values derived from the perception of 30 road users. Technical results evidenced deep infrastructural heterogeneity, with scores oscillating between a "Very Poor" state (SQI 1.38) in areas of lower real estate value and a "Fair" state (SQI 6.02) in areas with new residential developments. The overall weighted average for the road resulted in an SQI of 3.87, classifying the level of service as "Poor."
