Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/7317The Au/Cu do Palito deposit, located in the eastern portion of the Jardim do Ouro District (DJO), southwest of Pará, hosts one of the main gold deposits of the Tapajós Mineral Province (PMT) with a mine in production since 2003, in estimated at 90,000 tons of ore in measured and indicated reserves, with an average content of 8.04g/t of Au (Serabi Gold, 2020). The ore bodies in the mine occur as subvertical veins with disseminated or massive quartz and sulfides placed in the Palito Granite (1.88 Ga), characterized by a predominantly porphyritic texture and intensely hydrothermal. The mineralization is predominantly controlled by a shear zone of NW–SE direction, of the brittle-ductile sinistral transcurrent type, with some variations in direction due to faults or dykes (Costa, 2008). As for the distribution of hydrothermal alterations in the unit, it is possible to recognize the existence of three distinct types, such as potassium metasomatism, propylitization and sericitic alteration in pervasive, selective pervasive and fissure styles (Echeverri-Misas, 2010). In order to identify the main characteristics of the mineralized veins, according to structural and mineralogical parameters, and in order to provide new data and contribute to the understanding of the mineral enrichment of the deposit, this work was proposed. For this, petrographic techniques were applied under conventional microscope and scanning electron microscopy (SEM-EDS) in samples from the Mogno and Ipê veins, collected at different levels and galleries. With the data in hand, the occurrence of massive sulfides and their relationship with quartz veins was verified as a function of variations in mineralogical content, in addition to the mineral association between electrum particles (Au/Ag) and other sulfides such as chalcopyrite and sulfides of Bi with Cu, S, Fe and Te. These results represent an opportunity for the elaboration of a genetic model of metallic enrichment in the Mogno and Ipê veins as a function of the hydrothermal alteration processes and possible reactivation pulses in the mineralizing system, which may come from the entry of subvolcanic bodies close to the mineralized veins, altering the conditions of precipitation of the hydrothermal fluid in different locations of the ore body. Such a finding can contribute to mine planning and calculation of resources and reserves, and can guarantee and optimize mineral processing.Acesso AbertoHidrotermalismoProvincia Mineral do TapajósDistrito Jardim do OuroMina SubterrâneaHidrotermalismTapajós Mineral ProvinceUnderground mineCNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA::GEOCIENCIAS::GEOLOGIAEstudo petrográfico dos veios auríferos das frentes de Lavra Mogno e Ipê da Mina do Palito, Sudoeste do ParáTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - Monografia
