Benoist) are of great value to communities in the Amazon due to the medicinal exudate extracted from their bark. There is a lack of literature on the germination of this species, so this research is a way to enrich the information on the amapazeiro cycle, given the difficulty in cataloging this species in the Amazon. The methodology used in the research was an adaptation of the work of Duarte et al., on the heteromorphy of amapazeiro seeds, together with the experimental tool “completely randomized design”, as a basis for testing the samples in the two types of substrates tested: native forest soil (SM) and organic compost (OC). The main objective of the study was to test the germination of P. fascicula seeds, collected in two municipalities in Pará, in an environment similar to that in which it develops naturally. The results showed that the collected seed samples did not withstand the conditions to which they were subjected.
