The process began with the heat treatment of kaolin at 700 °C for 2 hours, aiming to obtain metakaolinite, which was subsequently treated with hydrochloric acid (8 mol.L⁻¹) at 90 ºC for 6 hours. The synthesis of zeolites was carried out by the static method, using dealuminated metakaolinite in four different Si/Al conditions: 10:1 (Z1), 20:1 (Z2), 30:1 (Z3) and 50:1 (Z4), at 150 ºC for 72 hours. The samples were characterized by Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM/EDS), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TG) and Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA). The EDX results showed variations in the compositions of samples Z1, Z2 and Z3. Sample Z1 presented the highest silicon (49.75%) and aluminum (10.85%) content, giving it greater stability and dense structure. Sample Z2 stood out for its high sodium concentration (22.15%). Z1 and Z3 presented the best Si/Al ratios (22.20% and 22.75%). Sample Z4, with a Si/Al ratio of 11.90, showed a balance between silicon and aluminum. Furthermore, with a high sodium concentration (22.45%), higher than samples Z3 (11.80%) and Z2 (7.65%), Z4 is a sodium-rich zeolite. XRD revealed seven main peaks, typical of the microporous structure of mordenite, evidencing that Z4 is the most suitable sample for the synthesis of sodium mordeniteAcesso AbertoAtivação térmicaMateriais mesoporososZeólitasSínteseThermal activationMesoporous materialsZeolitesSynthesisCNPQ::ENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA QUIMICASíntese de zeólita tipo mordenita a partir de caulim amazônicoTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - Monografia
