The host rock of gold mineralization in Jerimum de Baixo target are biotite monzogranites occurring in two texturally different petrographic types: coarse-grained biotite monzogranite and porphyritic biotite monzogranite. Both facies have been affected by brittle tectonics that generated conduits for hydrothermal fluids circulation. The hydrothermal alteration types are predominantly chloritization, sericitization, sulfidation, silicification, epidotization, carbonatization and argillization. The most remarkable hydrothermal alteration is sericitization, which is closely associated with the mineralization. The gold mineralization is also associated with sulfides, with pyrite as the most important phase, ocurring mainly in disseminations in altered areas, sometimes, brecciated, or forming discontinuous, millimeter thick veinlets. The petrographic study revealed, at least, seven quartz generations: three related to the magmatic stage and four having their crystallization due to hidrotermal fluids. The zircon from the two granitic facies show, in general, idiomorphic shapes in preserved areas and deterioration features toward the hydrothermally-altered portions. SEM-EDS analysis shows that elements such as Hf have their contents increased toward the altered/mineralized zones, while Ta, Te and Bi decrease accordingly. Preliminary comparisons with zircons from mineralized (São Jorge Jovem Granite) and barren (São Jorge Antigo Granite) granites indicate that Hf, Ta, Te and Bi as potential markers of specialized plutons.Acesso AbertoMetalogenia - Tapajós, Região (PA)Alteração hidrotermalZircão - Tapajós, Região (PA)CNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA::GEOCIENCIAS::GEOLOGIA::METALOGENIAPetrografia, alteração hidrotermal e estudo de quartzo e zircão de granitos hospedeiros do depósito aurífero do alvo Jerimum de Baixo, Campo Mineralizado do Cuiú-Cuiú, Província Aurífera do Tapajós (PA)Trabalho de Curso - Graduação - Monografia
