Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8887This work investigates the impacts of the violation of the right to education on the lives of young peasants and their families in the Transamazônica region, in the southwest of the State of Pará. Despite certain advances in terms of public policies in general, when it comes to rural education In the terminal stage of basic education, secondary education, rural youth still face immense difficulties in accessing and remaining in school: either this stage of schooling simply does not exist in rural communities or it is offered in a precarious manner, requiring countless sacrifices from students and of their families to access it. The main objective of this research is to listen to young people and their families and based on this listening, reflect on less harmful possibilities of realizing the right to education in this terminal stage of basic education in rural territories, with popular participation and social and academic quality. The methodology used consisted of field research with interviews with the subjects involved. The path of reflection and analysis was based on dialogue with Stropasolas (2006; 2014), Carneiro (2011), Castro (2009), Dayrell (2007; 2014), Barcelos (2021), among others.
