Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/3771This article aims to identify the interpretive strategies and reflect on the importance of interpreters of Libras during the process of simultaneous interpretation for the deaf community. The simultaneous interpretation from Portuguese into Libras of the song Sentimento Louco was broadcasted on the YouTube website in the Live of the singer Marília Mendonça and is the target of analysis in this research. During the production of the article, we used as theoretical reference about sign language studies: Ferreira-Brito (1997), Quadros (2000, 2004); and about Interpretation Studies, especially the Brazilian sign language, Libras, Segala (2010), Marcon (2012), Araújo and Carvalho (2017), Carvalho (2020) and Nicoloso (2015); addressing the interpretation process and the role of music for the deaf community, Strobel (2008), among others. As research methodology, we made use of the qualitative and descriptive approach, seeking to analyze comparatively the excerpts of the song with its semantic content between the oral Portuguese transcriptions, the Libras glosa and the prints of the signaling of the Libras interpreter. Some interpretative strategies were identified as the use of the Parameters Facial Expression, Body Expression and Movement, and the exploration of classifiers that were fundamental to the context of music interpretation.
