It seeks to highlight the challenges and impacts experienced by management and pedagogical coordination professionals at a basic education school in the municipality of Abaetetuba, Pará. It aims to analyze the impacts of work overload on management and pedagogical coordination. The research, based on a qualitative approach, was conducted through participant observation and semi-structured interviews with the manager and coordinator of the aforementioned educational unit. The study engages with the theoretical frameworks of Libâneo (2015), Paro (2016), Fernandes (2016), Placco (2011), Luck (2013), among others. The results show that work overload is caused by excessive bureaucratic demands, lack of support staff, and pressure to achieve results, resulting in long workdays, impacts on mental health, and compromised quality of pedagogical work.
