Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9496This study aims to present the implementation of a pilot maintenance plan project at a mining company located in the state of Pará, focusing on the maintenance management of cooling equipment. The proposal was motivated by the observation, during a technical internship, that corrective maintenance practices predominated, resulting in high failure rates, team overload, and unsatisfactory asset availability. The scope of the study was limited to split air-conditioning systems installed in the accommodations, administra tive buildings, and mine workshops, totaling about 140 units. The applied methodology combined qualitative and quantitative approaches and involved a baseline assessment, development of a preventive maintenance plan, definition of basic indicators, and imple mentation of the plan in the TOTVS Protheus ERP system. As a result, there was a significant reduction in the number of breakdowns, an increase in operational availability, and a shift in the team’s approach, which began to operate in a more planned and preven tive manner.
