Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9374This work investigates the migration of Venezuelans from the Warao ethnicity to the city of Cametá, Pará, focusing on the dimensions of invisibility and vulnerability that this population faces. The migration of the Warao is a complex phenomenon resulting from socioeconomic and political factors in their home country, leading them to seek better living conditions in Brazil. The general objective of the research is to analyze the impact of this migration on the preservation of cultural identity and the living conditions of the migrants. Specific objectives include investigating the motivations for migration, evaluating the living conditions and integration of the Warao within the local commu-nity, and understanding the strategies they adopt to preserve their culture in a new context. The methodology employed was qualitative, involving exploratory research, systematic observation, and ethnographic data collection through interviews and par-ticipant observations. The results revealed that the Warao face significant integration barriers, including prejudice and a lack of adequate public policies, which contribute to their social invisibility. Furthermore, cultural preservation strategies are essential for maintaining their identity in a hostile environment. This study highlights the urgency of actions that promote inclusion and respect for cultural diversity, aiming to ensure the human rights of migrants.
