Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/10109The aim of this study was to assess through a literature's review whether anxiety is the causal factor of bruxism in childhood. Searches were performed in four databases (VHL, Lilacs, Pubmed, Scielo), without date and language restriction until August 2019. Initially 447 papers were selected, after applying the inclusion and reading criteria seven articles were included. All of them were randomized controlled trials that yielded significant results according to Lobezzo's classification as 'likely'.Six studies showed significant results that children with bruxism are more anxious than the control group, however one study showed no significant association between the studied groups. This point can be justified by the multifactorial etiology of bruxism, and the fact of being evaluated in children results in bigger difficulty of diagnosis. The results of this literature's review show that anxiety can trigger bruxism and may be associated with other psychological factors such as stress.Acesso AbertoBruxismoAnsiedadeCriança e hábito parafuncionalBruxism.AnxietyChild and harafunctional habitCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::ODONTOLOGIAA ansiedade pode ser considerada a causa do bruxismo Infantil?
