Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/3101The studied area is located in the western part of the Patos Shear Zone, in the central portion of the Borborema Province along the Transversal Zone Domain. The TTG‟s rocks, outcropping in the region, show close composition and organization of a greenstone terrain with a preferred NE-SW trend. The present work deals with the geological and structural interpretation of deformation present in the rocks of the region, including the geometric and kinematic analyzes of both ductile and brittle features recorded in the exposed gneisses and granites. The final aim is to contribute to clarify the understanding of part of the geological evolution of Borborema Province. The exposed rocks are mylonites and monzo- to granodioritic migmatites, which a NE-SW trending pervasive mylonitic fabric. The observed deformation is related to pure shear-dominated transpressive event with pervasive dextral kinematics. This event is associated with the establishment of the Lavras da Mangabeira Duplex.
