The field research focused on the locality took place since 2018, during my period of scientific initiation scholarship – PIBIC. Using qualitative research, through a case study, we conducted interviews with semi-structured questionnaires. The objective of this work is to analyze the processes of occupation and appropriation of the floodplain that results in the geophysical transformations of the landscape and its effects on the lives of the riverside people and on the environment, including seeking to point out the factors that lead residents to create different forms of appropriation, occupation , use and management of territorial resources of the floodplains and understand how the natural processes of landscape dynamics take place.
