Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/4137Livestock activities have a huge impact on the environment due to the amount of waste produced. The impacts generated can be minimized with an environmentally appropriate destination. An alternative to deal with this problem is the use of biodigesters, an important technology for the processing of residual biomass and the production of renewable energy in rural areas. Thus, the objective of this work was to analyze the research on biogas production through biodigesters in livestock activities, through bibliometric analysis, using the methodology proposed by Kitchenham (2004) which is summarized in three phases: planning, execution, and summarization of the results. The documents were retrieved from the Web of Science (WOS) and EMBRAPA (BDPA) databases. The results showed that, among the evaluated studies, the use of pig manure predominated (75%), while bovine manure was less present (25%). In the selected studies, the most used biodigesters were the Canadian type (36%), followed by the Indian model (14%). It was noted that the countries that most published studies on the use of biogas in livestock were Brazil, followed by Mexico, Cuba, Cambodia, and South Africa. Data revealed that since 2017, the number of searches has been increasing. The work demonstrated that the implementation of biodigesters in rural properties can bring several benefits to owners and the environment, producing biogas and, at the same time, minimizing the impact generated by large-scale animal waste on livestock activity.Acesso AbertoBiogásBiodigestoresPecuáriaResíduos de animais - ReaproveitamentoCNPQ::ENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA SANITARIAAnálise bibliométrica sobre a produção de biogás nas atividades pecuaristasBibliometric analysis on biogas production in livestock activitiesTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - Artigo
