Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8608This course paper aims to analyze how mathematical errors have been discussed in Brazilian academic productions, considering them not merely as failures but as pedagogical resources that foster learning. The study is grounded in the idea that errors can be redefined as opportunities for reflection, investigation, and conceptual reconstruction. The adopted methodology is qualitative, based on bibliographic review. The first work, presented in the format of a scientific article, consisted of an analysis of dissertations available in the CAPES Theses and Dissertations Catalog, published between 2019 and 2023. Six dissertations comprised the final corpus, revealing that errors are connected to conceptual gaps, teaching practices, and emotional factors, and pointing to pedagogical strategies that promote reflection and autonomy. The second work, presented as a book chapter, was configured as a Systematic Literature Review of proceedings from the National Meeting of Mathematics Education (ENEM) and the International Symposium on Research in Mathematics Education (SIPEM), covering the period from 2016 to 2024. It gathered 21 texts organized into five thematic groups, discussing topics ranging from errors in specific content areas to theoretical and pedagogical reflections on their use in teaching.
