The cult to the diverse beauty has stimulated the study of new methods for the treatment of these diases in search of one technique that it offers resulted faster, lesser pain in the procedure, similar minor index of complications and costs. In Brazil, the sclerotherapy with hypertonic glucose is the treatment of choice, having as disadvantage pain during the injection of the sclerosing agent; the cryo-sclerotherapy is one technique that it uses the same sclerosing agent cooled 40ºC negative, in order to minimize this painful sensation. Objectives: To compare the results from the treatment of the telangiectasias and microvarizes of the members infeiriores, being used the methods of the chemical sclerotherapy with hipertonic glucose 75% and cryo sclerotherapy with hypertonic glucose 75%. Casuistry and methods: A longitudinal study was carried through, controlled. The sample of the study consisted of 18 patients registered the Serviço de Cirurgia Vascular da Fundação Santa Casa de Misericórdia do Pará, Belém, the period of April of 2007 the May of 2009, with diagnosis of spider veins in the inferior members, symmetrical areas, similar amounts, with age between 18 and 60 years. The right member (MR) was submitted to the conventional cryo-sclerotherapy and the left member (ML) to the cryo-sclerotherapy, having been carried through two sessions in each member. Images of the areas treated and a protocol to research for the evaluation of the results had been used. Results: the study population was in the totality for people of the feminine sex (100%), in the age of 40-49 years-old (34%), with positive factors of risk, 64% for the most part remained in ortorstática position of its time, being most important the relatives antecedent of varizes (94.5%). During the treatment the patients had presented greater pain and/or discomfort in MR (66%), with better resulted aesthetic in the opinion of the patients in only 33% in the end of the treatment. Already, for ML pain was bigger for only 28% of the sample and the majority (56%) related resulted aesthetic better. For the researchers the aesthetic result in the members was similar in 67%. The majority of the members dealt with conventional sclerotherapy (39%) presented complications, and in the cryo-sclerotherapy alone they had been gifts in 22%. E for both the members had reduction of the clinical manifestations in 67% of the cases, after the treatment. Conclusion: the cryo-sclerotherapy was the method of bigger satisfaction for the patient for having after presented lesser painful sensation during and the procedure, with lesser better number of complications and resulted aesthetic end. Having necessity of a lesser number of sessions for the attainment of the aesthetic result, contributing for the biggest acceptance of this method.
