Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/10313This research aimed to analyze and discuss the conceptions about mathematics of students of the 3rd year of high school in the municipality of Breves, in Marajó Pará, in which we carried out a qualitative research during the morning shift referring to mathematics through a keyboard, looking for reports about what mathematics is in the conception of these students. The activity developed there produced data whose analysis showed some aspects of the conception of mathematics of the interviewed students, how the students reflected, with what they related and built their conceptions. The work also seeks to make a conceptual construction of mathematics between theory and practice, from the first step in the process of building knowledge and thinking about the thing itself, to the relationship of mathematics with other fields of study such as: information technology, music, the applications in Physics and Chemistry, the idea of algorithm in relation to mathematics.
