Such focus is due to the high rate of new cases. Within this scenario, the occupational therapist is trained to play an important role in the occupational aspect of the rescue of women in situations of abuse. Objective: This study aimed to analyze national and international publications of articles that treat violence against women from the occupational therapeutic perspective, either through interventions or through strategies of qualification of these professionals to act in the face of the situation. Methods: This is a systematic literature review, with a quantitative and qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection was performed by search of scientific articles published in the CAPES, SciELO, SCOPUS, PubMed, Lilacs, Virtual Health Library, Medline, REDIB and OTseeker databases. The collected data was analysed according to the Systematic Review Study Appraisal Worksheet and the Qualitative Studies Evaluation Worksheet checklists. Results / Discussion: It was found a total of thirty­seven articles, published in eight different databases. A wide variety of methodological approaches have been observed, as well as some methodological flaws and a wide range of sub-­themes, which range from domestic violence to genital mutilation and highlight the occupational harm of women in situations of violence. Conclusion: The knowledge regarding publications of occupational therapy on the subject of violence against women made it possible to understand the importance of publications that contain reports of practice and reflections on occupational therapeutics.
