Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9686This academic portfolio reflects the teacher training journey in the Mathematics Degree course at UFPA, Castanhal Campus, centered on the connection between scientific initiation, mathematical modeling, artificial intelligence, and computer vision. The research presents a reflective analysis of two main works: a book chapter on the development of a low-cost prototype for grain separation using computer vision and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) with Arduino, and an article that applies Zipf’s Law in the comparative analysis of texts in Portuguese and English. The qualitative and memorialistic methodology allows for an exploration of how mathematical modeling and the critical use of technologies contributed to the constitution of a teacher-researcher identity. The results demonstrate not only the technical and educational feasibility of the developed projects but also the broadening of the perspective on mathematics teaching, emphasizing interdisciplinarity, contextualization, and the resolution of real-world problems.
