Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8534The disorganised increase in production and the improper waste disposal, and the lack of efficient policies, to keep us on alert due to damage to the enviroment, this research aims to analyze production of solid waste and the gravimetric classification in a coastal community located at 36KM from Bragança City, Vila dos Pescadores in Ajuruteua Beach. We observed the way to how the local residents discard solid wastes, the research aimed to sensitize the local residents about sustainable actions which may benefit them and the enviroment too. The methodology used is based on bibliographical data collection, visit to the community, an interview with the villagers and a domestic collection of solid wastes. A questionnaire was apllied in other to know the profile of collaborators. The data collection was performed in a seasonal period from september to november.
