Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/5677Introduction: The play stands out as the main child’s occupation, is part of his/her daily life and helps in his/her development, but there is events that cause alterations in this play, between them the burn situation. Metodological Procedures: It’s a qualitative nature research, of descritive type, based on interviews with 8 patients attended by centro de tratamento de queimados (CTQ) (burn treatment center) of Hospital Metropolitano de Urgência e Emergência do Pará (HMUE­PA) (Metropolitan Urgency and Emergency Pará Hospital), under the approach of Occupation Science which aims understand how children face and realize the break of their daily life before and after the burn. The data was analyzed based on content analysis. Results: The results reveals that there is significatives changes in the occupational form and meaning of children’s play, its changes reverberate in the occupationals roles and identities. To get its results, we split the occupational form analysis in 5 categories: Ocuppational routine, Playful privation, Play kinds, Social partners, Enviromment and time and the meaning analysis in 3 categories, the well­being play, missing play and pain.
