This paper presents a preliminary study on the application of PSIM (Power Simulation) software in projects focused on electrical systems and power electronics. PSIM stands out for its intuitive interface, robustness, and ability to perform accurate simulations of power and control circuits, being widely used in academic and industrial environments. The monograph explores the software's main features, addressing its modeling and analysis tools, such as circuit simulation, integration with digital control, and project optimization. Case studies were conducted to demonstrate PSIM's effectiveness in analyzing power converters, distributed generation systems, and electrical machine control. The results highlight that PSIM ensures result accuracy, reduces development time, and increases project reliability. It is concluded that the use of PSIM in electrical systems and power electronics projects is an efficient approach to addressing the sector's technological challenges, standing out as an resource for engineers and researchers.
