Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8876This work aims to analyze the pedagogical practices used in Specialized Educational Assistance (AEE) for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The research, with a qualitative approach, was conducted through a semi-structured interview with the teacher responsible for the AEE in a municipal public school. The practices adopted by the teacher, the pedagogical resources employed, the planning of activities considering the individualities of the students, the use of assistive technologies, and the challenges faced in the assistance were investigated. The results indicate that the teacher adapts activities according to the interests and needs of the students, uses games and educational applications, and maintains constant contact with the teachers of the regular classroom to ensure inclusion. This study seeks to answer how the teacher's pedagogical practices, using the resources of the AEE (Specialized Educational Service), promote conditions for access, participation, and learning for children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) in the school environment, as well as identify obstacles that hinder inclusion. During the interview, the need for greater partnership with families and the expansion of available resources was emphasized. It is concluded that the AEE plays a fundamental role in the development and inclusion of children with ASD, stimulating their cognitive and social skills.
