Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/4502The Course Conclusion Work proposed here approaches Financial Education as an important area of knowledge for contributing to the improvement of people's relationship with financial resources and gaining space as a discussion agenda, especially in the school environment, since, incorporating its principles into teaching helps young people understand the value of money and how to have a healthy relationship with it. Based on this context, the objective is to understand the role of Financial Education in the training of high school students. The research proposed here has an exploratory qualitative approach. The informants were 30 students from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of high school, from a public school, located in the municipality of São João da Ponta - PA. To obtain the data, we used a questionnaire with five semi-structured questions. For analysis and better organization of the data, we used categorization as an appreciative technique for the information obtained. With the result of the analysis, it was possible to observe that, in general, students have the understanding that Financial Education is a tool to manage financial resources, in the sense of guiding citizens on how to deal with money in a conscious way. Regarding the importance of learning about Financial Education, students were unanimous in affirming the notoriety of this knowledge to society and highlighted that financial education is positive so that mistakes are not made. Regarding family financial planning, most students revealed that their families carried out some type of planning for the family budget and highlighted notes in notebooks as the main form of planning adopted. Regarding the performance of paid activities, a significant part of the students answered that they do not perform, among those who carry out paid activities, most are concerned with carrying out financial planning.
