The disposal of oily waste, as it is discharged into the sewage system, causes clogging in the pipes. When released to the ground, it causes waterproofing and contamination by toxic metals present in the waste oil, causing the contamination of water bodies, especially in the rainwater environments. City of Breves (PA). Given the problems the present work aims to use the chicken machine oil marketed in the Breves Municipal Market (PA) for soap production. The methodology for soap preparation was through the saponification reaction, the residual oil of roast chicken machine was collected at Breves Municipal Market (PA). The characterization of the oil was performed in order to know some physical and chemical properties of the oil (acidity index, saponification index, specific mass, fatty acid percentage, humidity and kinematic viscosity at 40 ° C), it was also applied a questionnaire for waste oil traders who deal with information regarding the destination of the liquid waste, where the liquid waste generated by them is deposited, as well as the level of understanding of the interviewees regarding the environmental damage that the waste disposal may cause. cause. From the results obtained we can see that most interviewees have knowledge about selective collection and recognize the importance of oil recycling for the environment. Thus, we came to the conclusion that the use of waste oil from chicken machines for soap production is a viable alternative that can reduce the damage caused to the environment in the city of Breves (PA).Acesso AbertoÓleo residualMáquinasDescarteSabãoSaponificaçãoWaste oilMachineryDisposalSoapSaponificationCNPQ::CIENCIAS BIOLOGICAS::ECOLOGIAProdução de sabão utilizando óleo residual oriundo de processamento de máquinas de frangoTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - MonografiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazil
