That being said, the abandoned historic buildings and buildings in the historic center of Belém expose the degradation of the construction elements while they do not fulfill the social function of the property. In this sense, the study seeks the possibility of requalifying a mansion located on Rua Boulevard Castillo Franças, in order to promote the protection of historical architectural heritage, based on restoration theories, aiming to implement housing of social interest. Focusing on developing a basic architectural project seeking appropriate design solutions for the restoration of the historic building, giving them a new use so that they no longer remain in a state of degradation, since architectural heritage is not just an object of the past, but rather, it remains at all times, giving life to the city.
