The choice of this theme comes from the importance of the discussion about women's empowerment. For the accomplishment of the research, the covers of the mentioned magazines were selected, as well as a bibliographical survey, considering the sign in the process of understanding the image reading. For this, we approach-or studies developed by the theorists as PIERCE (2010), BAKHTIN (2009) and PÊCHEUX (1999).
