Protoco for treatment include surgical intervention, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and result in adverse side effects. In recent years, Anonna Muricata (Graviola) has been the object of studies that proves its medicinal effect, especially cancer, due to acetogenins, substances present in its composition and its possible antitumoral potential. Objective: The objective of this study was to review, by means of articles indexed in THE VHL AND PMC Database, the beneficial effects of biological reactions of acetogenins in cancer cellsíthe Genas. Methodology: We found 432 studies on the subject, 72 articles were selected for summary reading, of which 23 studies were analyzed and read in full by completing criteria initially established, totaling 8 final articles to compose this study. Result: With the final selection, we obtained studies showing that the phytochemical complexity found in the Graviola can attack and kill malignant cells of different types of cancer and thus offer healthpromoting benefits. Conclusion: Although there is no recognition from the international medical community, studies with bioactive compounds from graviola prove its efficacy against cancer cells, although it is not recommended to use it as preventive, when the disease has already been established, is a promising means of complementary treatment of various types of cancer.Acesso AbertoAnnonaAcetogeninaCâncerAcetogeninCancerCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::NUTRICAOAs acetogeninas da Anonna muricata e suas propriedades anticancerigenasTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - Monografia
