In the context of educational instituitions, Where the disposal of materials is continuous and diversified, understanding the perspective of school actors becomes a paramount step for environmental planning. From this perspective, this study aimed to analyze the view of education professionals regarding solid wast in a municipal public school located in Bragança, Pará. The research was characterized as a descriptive study with a mixed-methods (quali-quantitative) approach, whose data were obtained questionnaires to the teaching and administrative staff, in addition to field observations. All participants collaborated by signing the Informed Consent Form (ICF). The results pointed out that, under the perception of the interviewees, paper constitutes the main waste generated in the school routine, followed by plastic and organic matter fractions. Finally, the professionals emphasized that the introduction of recycling programs and the strengthenig of actions aimed at ecological awareness are indispensable ways to consolidate sustainability and effciency in wast management at the school unit.
