Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9002In recent decades, the Pará Amazon has undergone several anthropogenic interventions that have altered the landscape, particularly along the Trans-Amazonian Highway in the southwest of the state, where the municipality of Medicilândia is located. Medicilândia boasts a rich geodiversity that remains under-researched. Therefore, this research aims to propose a geotourism route for waterfalls in the municipality of Medicilândia (PA), considering geodiversity and ecosystem services as a stimulus for geotourism, geoconservation, and sociobioeconomy, given that the municipality is a prominent player in the cocoa value chain for small and medium-sized rural producers. Literature research was conducted to discuss the application of the concepts of geodiversity, geoconservation, geotourism, and sociobioeconomy. Geoenvironmental characterization was performed using geoprocessing and field visits were conducted from August to October 2023. Nine waterfalls were identified, and their access routes, distances, visit options, and sports activities were described. It was found that this waterfall route could diversify tourism in the municipality and along the Trans-Amazonian Highway in Pará, and could be combined with the Cocoa Route and chocolate, adding value to geotourism for socio-bioeconomic and geoconservation purposes.
