Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/7795The importance of forest cover is essential for the survival of various species, whether fauna or flora, and even humans, which can and do cause major environmental and climatic impacts. The disorderly growth of the population with-out a minimum of environmental planning causes soil degradation, damaging nat-ural resources and preserving ecosystems. The methods used in the research are made through observations made by satellites, merging spectral bands to analyze land cover between the years 1986 – 2023. The results obtained from the research show us how unbridled population growth causes forest loss, de-grades the soil and, with this green loss, climate-related problems, such as rising temperatures, soil impoverishment and loss of water resources, are linked, caus-ing the local population to struggle.
