It is a qualitative and quantitative study, transversal and descriptive, people with diabetes in the city of BelémPA. Data were collected using protocols such as the Katz Index, the Self Care Activities Questionnaire with Diabetes (QDA) and the Occupational Profile, and a semi structured questionnaire on possible occupational effects experienced by patients. Data were grouped, categorized and analyzed with the help of descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. The sample consisted of 24 subjects, 62.5% female and 37.5% male, with a predominance of participants aged 5160 years. In addition, 37.5% of participants have incomplete grade, 62% of participants were married, 38% have a diagnosis of 10 to 15 years and 17% reported not to have more feeling in your feet. As for the occupational profile, the main difficulties were need assistance to dress the lower limbs. Most participants reported not having any difficulty performing ADLs. On the other hand, they mentioned some difficulties in performing IADL, especially with regard to mobility in the community and shopping. It was observed that 79.2% of the participants do not perform regular physical activity. This study identified the presence of occupational repercussions on the daily lives of people with diabetes, especially in relation to food, health care with the completion of household chores, work and leisure. The information presented in this study may help in the understanding of diabetes influence on occupational lives.
